Another opportunity for broadening your horizons and deepening your knowledge base is to become one of our Social Impact Secondees. BCG has partnered with multiple social-sector organizations around the world. For example, we have worked with the U.N. World Food Programme, Save the Children, The Rockefeller Foundation, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on projects focusing on hunger and global health. We have also participated in the World Economic Forum.
As a Social Impact Secondee, you typically spend 6 to 12 months working in a social-sector organization. The Social Impact Secondment Program allows you to contribute in a meaningful way to vital humanitarian programs. It also enables nonprofit organizations to fill important jobs for which major social-impact programs lack appropriately skilled personnel. You will be able to expand your own perspective and deepen your knowledge base while you use your expertise to lead the way in meeting tangible, critical goals for those most in need. As a Social Impact Secondee, you will maintain your links with BCG, no matter where in the world you are working. And you will return to BCG with a wealth of experience and new insights.
Beyond the Social Impact Secondments Program, BCG will also help you find opportunities to work with other nonprofit organizations on a leave-of-absence basis.
